Long-Term Disability
Long-term disability is available to active employees working at least 30 hours per week on a regularly scheduled basis. Long-term Disability insurance pays you a portion of your earnings if you cannot work because of a disabling illness or injury. You must be disabled for at least 90 days before you are eligible to receive a benefit payment.
Short-Term Disability
Even with careful saving and planning, most people count on a steady paycheck to cover their monthly expenses. Unfortunately, it only takes a brief time away from work to upset the balance. You can protect the income you depend on with disability insurance.
