The opening date for board candidates to file for the April 5, 2022 school board election is Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 8:00 a.m. Candidates should file at the Union R-XI Administration Office, 21 Progress Parkway, Union, Missouri. The names of qualified candidates shall be placed on the ballot in order of filing. The closing date for filing is Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. The regular business hours of the Administration Office are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Administration Office will be closed and filings will not occur during Christmas Break from 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 2021, until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. Filing will not occur on days that the school district’s administration office is closed due to inclement weather or other health-related reasons. The district may not open even on the first and last day of filing if weather conditions make it unsafe for school staff to travel. Candidates must observe district infection control rules in force at the time of filing.
