#Unionrxi parents/guardians:
Union High School will be hosting a football game this Friday against the St. Clair Bulldogs. Due to the large number of community members attending Friday night football games and the need for all younger students to be supervised and monitored for safety purposes, all elementary and middle school students must be accompanied by an adult in order to enter the football game. Additionally, it is expected that the parent/guardian not only accompany their elementary or middle school child(ren) to the game, but they are also responsible for monitoring their behavior at all times during the duration of the game.
Supervisors at the main entrances will monitor the students entering the games. This measure is intended to ensure the safety and well-being of our students, as well as to promote a respectful and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone in attendance. Elementary and middle school students who arrive unaccompanied by a parent/guardian will be turned away at the gate regardless of whether they’ve purchased a ticket. This will be our standard practice for all high school home athletic events. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us run events that are safely supervised for all patrons and participants.
Thank you and #Uproud!

We are #UProud to welcome Ms. Brittany Hanks to Team UHS.
A little bit about her:
My name is Brittany Hanks, and I’m so excited to be joining the team at Union High School as a special education teacher. This will be my 11th year in education. I’m passionate about creating a supportive, inclusive environment where all students feel seen, valued, and empowered to grow and thrive.
I was born and raised in Washington, MO, and live here today with my own family. I got engaged last year to my fiancé, Matt, and we’re planning to get married in Colorado in 2026! Our house is full of love, kids, and animals! Between us, we have four amazing kids: Aubree (11), Watson (6), Lorelei (10), and Malcolm (6). We share our home with five cats, a puppy, and three chickens, so there’s never a dull moment. In my free time, I enjoy drinking coffee, reading, coloring, cooking, playing board games, and spending quality time with my family.
Fun fact: My mom graduated from Union High School in 1983 and was even prom queen! I love that I now get to be part of the same community that’s meant so much to my family. I’m thrilled to start this new chapter and can’t wait to get to know the students, families, and staff in the Union R-XI School District.
Welcome to the U, Ms. Hanks! #UnionRXI
