Good afternoon, #unionrxi families:
As you may already be aware, Union R-XI, along with our fellow Four Rivers Conference schools, is again facing a funding shortfall if the Missouri Legislature does not vote to fully fund education. What does a funding shortfall mean? If legislators do not vote to meet the fully funded target set by the state’s formula, Union R-XI could see a potential shortfall over $1.2 million this year, putting pressure on our school district’s budget.
Union R-XI stands with our Four Rivers Conference schools in advocating for Missouri public schools. We are sharing this important information through a joint letter helping to raise awareness around the proposed funding reductions and how they could impact our local school districts, their educators, and the communities they serve.

Our Kops and Kids Food Drive is just around the corner! This is a great chance for our students, families, and local police officers to team up and help make sure no one in our community goes hungry this season.
📅 Date: November 2nd to November 20th
We’ll be collecting non-perishable food items like canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal, peanut butter, and more. We will also be collecting cash donations. All donations will be given to the Union Food Pantry.
This event is all about:
· Giving back to families who need a little extra support
· Building positive connections between kids and local officers
· Showing how small acts of kindness can make a big difference
As in years past, students can bring in their canned goods or cash donations to their homeroom/first period class. The class with the most donations from each building will receive a Pizza Party from the Union Police Department.

Parents, please be aware of what your child is doing online, keep them safe!

-Would you say it face-to face?
-Could it hurt or embarrass someone?
-Would you be comfortable if a trusted adult saw it?
If you are unsure, DON'T POST IT!

Please check the lost and found during parent/teacher conferences. We will be donating all clothes to a local resale shop after the 29th of October.
Thursday, October 29th only has one lunch choice that day.
Next week is Red Ribbon Week! Dress up and promote saying no to drugs. Monday is pj day, Tuesday is superhero day, Wednesday is were RED, and Thursday is say Boo to drugs with your Halloween costume.
