We can't take our eyes off the construction. Things are getting pretty exciting around here!

We love building relationships throughout the entire building. Our second and fifth graders recently started meeting as their "little buddies" program started. They meet to do a seasonal project and get to know each other better.

Lots of fun coming out of our new ELA curriculum! Kindergarten is learning about their five senses, while 4th grade is interacting with their texts on the circulatory system.

Owl pellet dissections are happening in 4th grade. Our science curriculum really makes learning come to life with these hands on experiments!

Today is IT Professionals Appreciation Day!

Thank you to our wonderful team of IT professionals who take care of all our technology needs. We appreciate you keeping us 'connected!'

Officer Pratt and our 5th grade started their DARE program this week!

That "Red Friday" feeling coming out of 4th grade!

We had fun at the Vending Machine this morning! Check out our latest Caught Reading kids.

Tomorrow is Red Nation Friday as well as 9/11.

Let us take time to thank and recognize our military and first responders
both actively serving and retired.

May we never forget.

Did you know that we have two certified, full time guidance counselors at Central Elementary? Mrs. Lebish and Mrs. Keathley meet bi-weekly with every single classroom to work on social emotional skills, while also making sure each of our students and families are safe and taken care of. Last week they went into classrooms to play counselor "BINGO" where students learned all the things they can go to our counselors for. Our building is truly a better, safer, more kind place because of their work!

The learning happening at Central is palpable in every area of the building. We may only be 2 weeks in, but we have already learned so much. Keep it up Central!

Happy Friday Red Nation! #UProud

Our first week of Caught Reading winners! All staff in the building has small "Caught Reading" tickets, which are given to students who are caught reading during non-instructional times (after they're done with work, on the playground, at dismissal etc.). A ticket from every grade level is pulled and announced each Friday. Their prize is a book from the vending machine. Congrats to our first winners of the 26-27 school year!

Don't forget to get your orders placed for RED "We Are Central" gear! Every Friday we will wear our RED to show our ROAR! Place your order online in the store, or return your order form and cash to the office. https://centralspiritwear26.itemorder.com/shop/home/

Today Mrs. Kissinger's crew celebrated the fourth day of fourth grade with games, trivia and fun! They each had to "break out" of a trivia box.
