Today Mrs. Kissinger's crew celebrated the fourth day of fourth grade with games, trivia and fun! They each had to "break out" of a trivia box.

In the afternoon, cars will double stack side by side in an effort to keep cars off of the city streets. Our School Resource Officer will be outside to assist this process and ensure that cars are double stacking correctly. The line will merge to a single lane before students are loaded in cars. We will load 5 cars at a time and then the next 5 cars can pull into their spots to pick up their students. Ideally, students will need to load the car on the left side of the car (driver side). We will have staff members stationed at each cone on the driver's side of the car. We will be using KidAccount, so you will need to have your KidAccount card and your ID in order to pick up your students. We will begin shuttling students out to cars close to 2:45 p.m. and we appreciate your patience with this process. Please drive carefully and do not pass other vehicles during this process. All car riders should be picked up by 3:00 p.m.

Please remain with your child until doors open and a staff member is present to greet and supervise students. All students should be dropped off at the back entrance (sidewalk leading to gym). Please enter our campus from Springfield Ave. via the new road that was constructed this summer. Drive around the back of the building and drop-off at the cones where staff members will be waiting to receive your child. Ideally, students will need to exit the car on the left side of the car (driver side). We will have staff members stationed at each cone on the driver's side of the car. This drop-off lane will close at 7:45 a.m. If the gate is pulled, you will need to drive back to the front of the building and park in the parking lot to walk your child inside. To help ensure student safety, the front circle lane will be used for bus drop-offs only this year.

Central Elementary participated in their first CERP drill this morning and received Project Adam Heart Safe Designation today!

Congratulations to all these readers! Today our 4th and 5th graders who read at least 4 Mark Twain Nominees attended a neon bright party in the library. Yesterday we had 7 students who read all 12 books attend a field trip to Neighborhood Reads. Congratulations to these kiddos!

Congratulations Central Wildcats! We were awarded the PBIS Tier 1 Award of Excellence. This award signifies our school’s implementation of PBIS with high quality at the Universal (Tier 1) Level. Great job Team!

Girls on the Run raised $520 for Sleep in Heavenly Peace! They were able to hand over the donation at their end of season celebration today.

We are so proud of our Girls on the Run group! They finished their big run in STL yesterday. Great job girls!

Lots of fun things happening in preschool lately. Once worn resale shop got an ice cream for the preschoolers, We released butterflies 🦋 and had sensory day. We love these smiles!
