Our students are leaving their mark on Central Elementary! This week students had the opportunity to add their name to a steel beam which will be added to the new portion of the building.

After learning about Native American Regions, 5th grade students in Mrs. Clements and Ms. Smith’s classes attempted to make Native American style homes.

Great job fifth grade!

Mrs. Goss and Mrs. Missey's third grade classes joined forces to explore their "Giant Squid" text to find interesting facts that they have learned from text features. They wrote down the page number and where they learned the information from (photo, caption, illustration diagram etc.) on a post it and added it to a class poster.

They had amazing conversations about the purpose of text features! Awesome job third grade!

4th grade is truly doing some hands on learning in their science lab! Here are some more Owl dissection experiments from Mrs. Pope's class.

Homecoming is almost upon us! Get ready for next week's spirit days.

We are so proud of our Kindergarten crew for growing their brains! They've been working hard learning about their five senses through art and literature. We can't wait to watch them grow this year!

Reminder for students to bring in their SIGNED coupons tomorrow for getting registered online and sharing 10 contacts! The cheese squish and Jumper Popper will be given out to all students who have completed that! Also, if your students have sold some items, have them bring in their coupons for COOPS tomorrow as well. Don't worry, they can also bring in coupons next Tuesday 9/22, Friday 9/25, and Tuesday 9/29. Happy Fundraising!!

We can't take our eyes off the construction. Things are getting pretty exciting around here!

We love building relationships throughout the entire building. Our second and fifth graders recently started meeting as their "little buddies" program started. They meet to do a seasonal project and get to know each other better.

Lots of fun coming out of our new ELA curriculum! Kindergarten is learning about their five senses, while 4th grade is interacting with their texts on the circulatory system.

Owl pellet dissections are happening in 4th grade. Our science curriculum really makes learning come to life with these hands on experiments!

Today is IT Professionals Appreciation Day!
